2008 Burton Audex Download Jacket (L)

Back in 2006, Burton teamed up with Motorola for the "Audex" line, diving into the world of wearable electronics almost a decade after Levi’s and Philips gave it a shot. Burton Audex combined snowboarding gear with tech, featuring built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calls and music on the slopes. It was ahead of its time, but the high price tag and clunky early tech held it back from being widely adopted.
